After 40 Years, Rose & Laurel

Closes, Distributes Free Books

Larry Hoffman browses through the shelves of books at The Rose and Laurel Bookstore, where all the books are free for the taking. For 40 years Rose and Laurel has been a staple storefront in downtown Oneonta, but today they are closing their doors at their location at 273 Main St. Joe Mish, who currently runs the store, is moving down the street into the Shops at Ford and Main where he will continue to sell books. The space is smaller, so all the books he can't take he is giving away. Book lovers can find titles from all genres and titles from the 1800's to current. The space is smaller, so all the books he can’t take he is giving away. Book lovers can find titles from all genres from the 1800s to current.
