IN MEMORIAM: Florena S. Peck, 93;

Played, Sang In Husband’s C&W Band

NEW BERLIN – Unadilla native Florena Peck, 93, who played guitar and sang in her husband’s country western band, passed away on March 5, 2019 at Chase Nursing Home here.

She was born on September 4, 1925, in Unadilla, the daughter of William and Elsie Sisson.  On June 9, 1942, she married Raymond Peck of Masonville.  Raymond predeceased her on June 23, 1995.

Florena was a self-taught artist who enjoyed reading and crafts, as well as her musical pursuits.

She is survived by her son; Ray Peck of New Berlin; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Kevin Kiel of Unadilla; sister Clara Douglas; two half-brothers; George and Bill Sisson; four grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, five great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one granddaughter, five sisters and one brother.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
