With ‘Comfy, Cozy Totes’

The girls of Girls Scout Cadet Troop 30728, Amethyst Gardener, Elizabeth Serafin, Jillian LaHood and Tiffany Gardner, stand outside the Oneonta homeless shelter this morning before delivering their donations of "Comfy, Cozy Totes". The project was to receive their Silver Award, the highest honor a Cadet can achieve. They had to identify a need in the community, create a plan, contact individuals, fund raise, carry out the plans and ensure it would have lasting results. For nearly two years the girls collected over 250 children's pajamas, each with a custom heart shaped made especially for the project sewn onto them. They also donated five totes of themed boxes of toys and activities containing books, craft supplies, toys and games. (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
