IN MEMORIAM: Gloria Gregory, 83;

Farmer’s Wife Raised Paint Horses

MOUNT VISION – Gloria Gregory, 83, who ran a dairy farm with her husband, and later raised paint horses, passed away on March 2, 2016.

She grew up on Long Island, but came Upstate with her family in her late teens.

They stayed for a time with relatives in New Lisbon, and it was there that she met and fell in love with Ken Gregory. Married at 18, they raised six children; Darlene, Pat, David, Brian, Randy and Cindy.

She was an avid participant in Otsego County Fair competition, where she won many awards for knitted, crocheted and tatted items.

Gloria is survived by her children, 15 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. It was her wish that those wanting to pay their respects, just stop by the homes of her children to visit. She did not want a funeral or calling hours.

Arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home of Morris.

RSS wants to build a 64-unit project for low- and moderate-income people that will include 14 apartments reserved for individuals recovering from drug and alcohol abuse.
