HALL OF FAME INDUCTION 2015
HALL REPORTS 45,000 FANS
AT INDUCTION, 4TH BIGGEST
The Baseball Hall of Fame reported today that 45,000 fans attended the Biggio-Johnson-Martinez-Smoltz induction yesterday, the fourth largest crowd in the event’s history. The record is 82,000, from 2007, when Cal Ripken Jr. and Tony Gwynn were inducted. In 1999, when Nolan Ryan led a roster of superstars, brought 50,000. Last year, an estimated 48,000 attended to view inductees that included Joe Torre.
