CELEBRATION—10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Step back in time for an 1840s style Independence Day, featuring a reading of the Declaration of Independence, tintype photography and a toast. PARADE—11 a.m. “Salute To Lady Liberty” with one of the longest running 4th of July parades in the country, featuring fire departments, veterans groups, marching bands, equestrians, more. Followed by a celebration with Brooks BBQ, live music, Springfield Historical Society open house, raffles, more.
