OLDEST PARADE – 11 a.m. The second oldest parade in the country kicks off again, with a full day of festivities to follow, including a concert and fireworks at dusk. Springfield Center Community Center, 129 Co Rd 29A, Springfield Center.
TRADITIONAL CELEBRATION – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Celebrate Independence day how they used to with reading of Declaration of Independence at Noon, followed by militia muster. QUIET CONCERT – 4 p.m. Catskill Conservatory presents annual Independence day concert to honor Louise Porter Moore. Features classical Indian music by Steve Gorn, Narendra Budhakar on bamboo flute, drums. Also, featuring jazz pianist Ethan Cypress. BOAT PARADE – 4 p.m. Annual ‘We Love Our Lake’ decorated boat parade for Independence day. This years theme is ‘Red, White, & Blue.’ Prizes awarded, no registration required. All boats welcome. Parade to form off Lakefront park then progress to 3 mile point. Cooperstown. 518-542-6630
