Helen E. Frankl;
Nurse at Oneonta
Doctors’ Offices

ONEONTA – Helen E. Frankl, a former nurse in Oneonta doctors’ offices, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on January 26, 2019.
She was born Feb. 14, 1931 in Lilly, Pa., the daughter of Antonio and Josephine (Iapaulcci) Tucci.
Helen graduated from Oneonta High School and continued her education in nursing. She was Dr. John Rowley’s nurse for over 20 years, also Dr. Yoshiro Matsuo’s office, retiring from Hartwick College.
Helen married John P. Frankl on Jan. 11, 1952, in Oneonta. They enjoyed traveling, camping, golfing and gatherings with family and friends, spending 64 fun-filled years together.
Helen was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and a lifetime member of the ladies of the Elks and Oneonta American Legion Auxiliary. She was an active member of the community. Helen was a loving, caring, hard-working devoted
mother, grandmother and friend. A remarkable
woman who made an
impact on many lives.
She is survived by her children, John P. Frankl Jr., James and wife, Janet Frankl and Mary-Jo Frankl; her grandchildren, Hannah, Lara, Dana, Ian, Stephen; and a great-granddaughter, Emerson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, John P. Frankl, Sr. on July 19, 2016, and her three brothers and seven sisters.
Calling hours will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz Street, Oneonta.
A graveside service at Mount Calvary Cemetery will be at a later date.
