Found Dead Outside Emmons-Area Home
ONEONTA – State police report they are investigating a suspected murder-suicide involving Larry Jones, 51, general manager of Holiday Inn Southside, and Tiffanne Wells, 44, the former catering director at the hotel.
Troopers report being called to a home on Route 47, which runs between Emmons and West Davenport in the Town of Oneonta, at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Both Jones and Wells were found dead outside the home, state police said.
County coroner James Hurley was at the scene, and directed that autopsies be conducted at Lourdes Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing troopers said.
Wells is well known in the community, having worked in a number of local venues, including the former county Tourism Office and, most recently ARC Otsego.
Jones, who was from the South, was transferred to the Oneonta facility two years ago.
