UNADILLA – Emily N. Pikaard – “Baby Girl” – 19, of Unadilla, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charletown.

She was born on May 16, 1996, in Morristown, N.J., the daughter of Bryan Sr. and Diana (Moore) Pikaard.

Emily was always smiling and laughing.  No matter anyone’s mood, she could brighten their day just by smiling.  Her laughter was contagious and she was so full of life.  She loved everyone and everyone who came into her life loved her.

She enjoyed listening to music, signing and talking to everyone on Facebook.

She is survived by her parents, Bryan Sr. and Diana Pikaard of Unadilla; her sister and brother, Samantha and Bryan Jr. of Unadilla; maternal grandparents, John and Cathy Bork of Keyport, N.J., and Don and Sandy Moore of Unadilla; aunts, Debbie and Gayle Pikaard, Terra Moore, Holly and Theresa Bork; uncles, Donny and Tommy Moore, and Johnny Bork; and 5 cousins.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Henry and Ada Pikaard.

Calling hours are 1-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, Oneonta, where the family will be in attendance 1-3 and 5-7.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the funeral home, with Rev. Bert More officiating.

Donations in Emily’s memory are asked to be made to the MUSC Children’s Heart Hospital, C/O MUSC Foundation, 18 Bee Street, MSC 450, Charleston, SC 29425.
