In Memoriam:  Elizabeth S. Thompson, 89; Milford Native

CHERRY VALLEY – Elizabeth S. Thompson, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Otsego Manor.  She was 89.

Elizabeth was born July 25, 1924, in Milford. She enjoyed being a full-time mother. She then worked for 25 years at Ensign Bickford Co., maker of Primacord, the detonating tape, in Simsbury, Conn.

She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor J. Pearo of Cherry Valley; her brother Robert Smith of Oneonta;  10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, as well as her close friends and neighbors.

Funeral services are being handled through Southwicks Forastiere Funeral Home in Southwick, Mass.

In lieu of flowers or cards, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimers Organization of America.
