Keep Mohawk Valley Beautiful Honors

County Planning Director Karen Sullivan

 Karen Sullivan, Otsego County planning director, is presented with the 2015 Distinguished Service Award by the Robert Albrecth, chairman of the Keep Mohawk Valley Beautiful Board of Directors, during a Wednesday, March 25, ceremony at a luncheon at Francesca’s Banquet Hall, Ilion.  Eighteen 18 individuals, municipalities, and organizations were recognized for their efforts to support sustainable practices and policies. Those who beautified public spaces and waterways, developed recycling programs, improved the quality of life in their neighborhood, led municipal planning efforts, organized citizen action groups, or established programs that educated others in the principles of sustainability were among the awardees.
