Leaves Many Friends In Oneonta
ONEONTA – Kitty Oliver, 92, passed away on Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at St. Margaret's Care Home in Hawick, Scotland, leaving many friends behind in Oneonta.
She was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Hawick, Scotland. She was an outstanding athlete in her youth and was a high school track and field champion. Her brother, Bill McLaren, was the men’s champion the same year. He went on to become an internationally renowned TV sports commentator.
In her later years, she became heavily involved in local arts and volunteer work.
