IN MEMORIAM: Larry T. Beers, Sidney;

Army Veteran Retired From Mirabito

Larry Beers

SIDNEY – Larry T. Beers, 68, of Sidney, an Army veteran who retired from Mirabito Energy Products,  passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Bassett Hospital.

He was born Aug. 24, 1950, son of the late Victor and Florence (Fletcher) Beers in Sidney.

Larry served his country in the Army in 1970-71 and was honorably discharged.

He worked as a service technician for Tex-Gas, Suburban Propane, then Mirabito Energy in Sidney, where he retired after 21 years.

Larry is survived by his wife, Betty (Reynolds) Beers, Sidney; son, Chris (Lori) Beers, Minoa; two daughters, Missy Beers and Jamie Beers, both of Norwich; grandchildren, Madelyn, Ava and Alex Beers, Dashawn King, Ky’sawn, Jae’lynne and Ja’nella Veale; brothers, Stanley (Kate) Beers, Sidney and Karl (Judy) Beers, Masonville; sisters, Betty McWherter, Franklin, Grace (Ed) Backus, Sidney Center and Joan (Stephen) Merritt, Lebanon, Conn.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Larry was also predeceased by his brothers, James and Victor.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 8, at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 9, at the funeral chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to University of Rochester Medical Center Division of Cardiac Surgery.
