$5K Worth Of Cocaine

ONEONTA – An Oneonta man was arrested after police allegedly found him in possession of cocaine worth more than $5,000.

Aaron M. Willey, 31, was arrested Tuesday, June 13 after Oneonta City police, with the assistance of the state police and Department of Corrections, served a search warrant at his residence at 5106 State Highway 23, lot 82 in the Town of Oneonta. Police allegedly found 1.99 ounces of powder cocaine with a street value in excess of $5,000, as well as $2,472 in various denominations of US currency.

He was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony and was remanded to the Otsego County Jail.  Because he is currently on parole, a separate detainer was lodged by the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. If convicted, he faces 50 years incarceration.
