Two Oneonta titans are celebrated in this week's newspapers.  One, former mayor Sam Nader, now 97, who was at the 50th anniversary recognition of the Oneonta Municipal Airport, which only his determination led to its construction in 1966.  Two, Willard Yager, a "gentleman-scholar" who developed a collection of 6,000 Indian artifacts between 1890 and his death in 1929; after a three-year hiatus, an exhibition of his collection opens at with a 6 p.m. reception tomorrow at Harwick College's Yager Gallery.  An article in both The Freeman's Journal and Hometown Oneonta reports Otsego Now's Sandy Mathes is moving to act on a second round of rural broadband funding after the state's first round fell flat.  If all goes as expected, construction will begin in 2015.  This, and much more.
