IN MEMORIAM: Nancy Waller, 98;

Author  Embraced Community Life

Nancy Waller, who passed away yesterday at age 98, with her husband Jerry, who died at 96 in 2013.

COOPERSTOWN – Nancy Waller, 98, of Roseboom, author, mother and beloved member of the greater Cooperstown community, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 10, 2017, at the Thanksgiving Home  with her daughters and minister at her side.

A Service to the Glory of God and in Thanksgiving for the Life of Nancy Waller will be offered at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at her church, the First Presbyterian Church of Cooperstown.

Survivors include three daughters, Sydney Waller of Cooperstown, and Anne Seabury Waller Auerbach and Margaret Waller Burhoe, both of Brookline, Mass.

A complete obituary will be published at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home in Cooperstown.

Killer Knapp Dies In Prison; Guilty In SUNY Coed’s Death ONEONTA – Ricky Knapp, the man convicted of the 1977 death of SUNY Oneonta student, has died in Mohawk Correctional Facility, according to prison records. Knapp, 66, died March 8, having served 40 years of a 25-to-life sentence for a 1978 manslaughter conviction in the death of 18-year-old Linda Velzy, a SUNY student from Long Island.
