COOPERSTOWN – Lady Hawkeyes’ battled out a basketball game with the West Canada Indians last night at Bursey Gymnasium. With a final score of 53-31, Coop dominated the game. After many tie-ups and plenty of baskets, the Indians went home with a loss.
Julietta Ford was the night’s top scorer with 11 points. As usual, Ford used her height to her advantage where she could, but fouls are to be expected. However, Ford only got 2 fouls called on her.
Kate Trosset was involved in some tie-ups on the floor as well as Paige Cring, Maria Noto and Piper Seamon. These girls know to hold onto the ball during a tie-up and it definitely helped them last night.
The Lady Hawkeyes held strong when they weren’t doing well and fought for the ball. They worked hard last night and it definitely paid off in the end.
