ONEONTA – An early-morning fight in front of the Oneonta Hotel lead to the arrest of a man for possession of cocaine.

At 1 a.m. on Sunday, March 27, the Oneonta Police Department responded to reports of a fight at 195 Main Street.  When they arrived, the arrested Avi Ray Figeuroa, 25, Oneonta.  During a search of Figueroa, police claim they found white powder they believed to be cocaine, as well as packaging materials commonly used for unlawfully dealing narcotics.

Figueroa was charged with the class B felony of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree and was held until arraignment.  He faces up to 25 years incarceration.
