UNADILLA – Jeffrey M. Dixon, 34, went to be with the Lord, Aug. 20, 2016, at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City

He was born Sept. 18, 1981, in Oneonta, the son of Robert F. Dixon and Susan M. Comino.

He graduated from Unatego High School.  He enjoyed welding, building cars, being with his family and friends.  He raced in plenty of derbies and won many trophies, recently this year at the Otsego County Fair in Morris.  He was employed with J & J Structures and Winn Construction.

He is survived by his mother, Susan Barnes of Oneonta; step-father, Roger Barnes Otego; fiancée, Tammy Dubois of Unadilla and step-daughter, Brianna; brother, Robert Dixon of Otego; sister, Jessica Barnes and Tommy French of Davenport Center; nieces, Kendra Barnes, Alexia Barnes, Mayson Dixon French; aunts and uncles, Dawn, Steve, Rich, Peter and Susan, Joe and Paula, Bruce and Debbie; many cousins; his in-laws, Dobbie, Poppie and Lisa; as well as his beloved dog, Mopar.

He was predeceased by his father, Robert “Tricky” Dixon; cousin, Shawn Dixon; grandparents, Shirley Comino, Gerald Allen, Robert and Beth Dixon.

Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. with the service starting at 7 p.m Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.  The Rev. Judith A. Thistle will be officiating.
