Otsego County Chamber Plans
7 Seminars For Entrepreneurs
The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce today announced its first-ever series of seminars for entrepreneurs, “Smart Otsego Small Business Seminars,” seven in all, starting 8:30-10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at SUNY Oneonta Morris Hall. Sign-in and networking breakfast begin at 8 a.m.
“Being an entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart,” said Otsego Chamber President Barbara Ann Heegan. “It takes persistence. This Small Business Series is aimed at anyone aspiring to start a Small business or that has an existing business. No one should feel alone in this dynamic competitive marketplace.”
These seminars are a collaboration of the chamber with the county board’s Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, The Small Business Development Center and The Binghamton SCORE Chapter.
For entrepreneurs, being able to receive this sort of help at the start of their business career could be fundamental in how successful they will be. From using an OKR tracking software from somewhere like Profit.co to help achieve business goals to learning how to market your company is just a small amount of knowledge that you will need to start a manageable and successful small business. And these seminars could also give you a vital helping hand.
The sessions will be on seven Thursdays in a row:
Oct. 1 – Legal Issues & the Small Business
Oct. 8 – Business Planning & Best Practices
Oct. 15 – Business Goals and Budget Preparation
Oct. 22 – Financial Funding Options & Applications
Oct. 29 – Multi-media Marketing Techniques
Nov. 5 – Executive & Business Coaching Panel
Nov. 12 – Introduction to the Global Market Place
