Otsego County is 884th of 3,135th “hardest place to live in the U.S.,” with 3,135 being the hardest, according to the New York Times’ “The Upshot” feature.

And Otsego is assessed as “doing better.” In the area, only Fulton and Montgomery are considered “doing worse.”

Saratoga and Tompkins are ranked best among Upstate counties.
