Car Hits Hartwick Student

As He Jogs Near Campus

ONEONTA – Police are on the scene near the entrance to Hartwick College investigating a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian who was jogging near the school.

The victim, a male Hartwick student, was running with a group of students when he was struck while crossing West Street in front of the entrance to the college.  He has been airlifted to Bassett Hospital, and, according to witnesses, he was conscious when he was taken in the ambulance.

The driver has also been taken to the hospital.
