Village PD: 2 Cars Rifled
On Cooperstown Streets
COOPERSTOWN – Police are reminding village residents to lock their cars following two cases of theft from unlocked vehicles on Walnut Street and Susquehanna Avenue last night.
“One of the vehicles was a Jeep Wrangler, and the thief cut the plastic to get in,” said Chief Michael Covert.
Covert reported that CDs and change were stolen from the vehicles. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call the Cooperstown Police at (607) 547-6103.
