20 Sign Petition On Agenda Tonight
COOPERSTOWN – A petition asking for stricter enforcement of village noise ordinances in on the agenda at this evening’s Village Board meeting, which begins at 6:30 at 22 Main.
“This is a plea to please control the volume of live music on Main Street in the evenings,” reads the petition, which is signed by residents, innkeepers, restaurateurs and merchants. “We are not against music, just the extremely loud volume.”
The petition, which was created on June 5, garnered signatures from 20 village residents.
The petition will be addressed by the board of trustees at this evening’s meeting at 6:30 pm at village hall.
