Ribbon Cut On $180,000 Bridge,

Part Of Oneonta Park Master Plan

Retiring Oneonta Common Council member Larry Malone cuts the ribbon this on a new pedestrian bridge in Wilber Park (part of Ward 2, which he represents), along with representatives of Eastman Associates, the contra ctor, and Unalam, the Unadilla-based company that provided the wooden pressure-treated decking.    Participants included Senior Engineer Technician Greg Mattice of City Hall’s Engineering Department, Unalam Vice President/Communications  Zoe van der Meulen, Unalam President Craig Van Cott, Eastman Associates’ Michelle and Rick Eastman, City Manager Martin Murphy, and Amy HeilveilHorvath, candidate for county board. Riverside Students Plant Apple Trees, Help Restore Piece of Oneonta History ONEONTA On Friday, April 28, the City of Oneonta planted an apple orchard on the Swart-Wilcox House Museum property with the help of Riverside Elementary School students. The planting was made possible thanks to funds obtained by City Community Development Director Judy Pangman through a special “Tree Planting in Disadvantaged Communities after Ash Tree Loss” grant.
