Richfield Springs School Board
Names Interim Superintendent
RICHFIELD SPRINGS – The Richfield Springs Central School District (RSCS) Board of Education appointed Clifford Moses as the interim superintendent of RSCS at its meeting last night.
Moses comes to RSCS with more than 40 years of experience in education under his belt. He began his career in education as a teacher at the Sherburne-Earlville Central School District in 1973.
Since then, he has held several administrative positions, including assistant principal, principal and superintendent – a post he held at both the Schoharie and Galway central school districts. Moses, who is retired, has previously served as an interim superintendent of schools for three other school districts. He’s also the incumbent supervisor for the Town of Eaton in Madison County.
Moses will officially start acting as interim superintendent at RSCS on November 2. He will hold the position until the RSCS Board of Education conducts a thorough search and hires a full-time superintendent.
“The Richfield Springs Central School District is both excited and thankful to have someone like Clifford Moses during this transitional period,” said RSCS Board of Education President Scot Mondore. “Cliff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our school district and he will make sure everything continues to operate smoothly.”
Former RSCS Superintendent F. Daniel Myers resigned as superintendent earlier this month. His last day with RSCS was Oct. 16. Since then, Herkimer BOCES Superintendent Mark Vivacqua has been acting superintendent.
