Seton outduels Oneonta in baseball, 3-0

Seton Catholic’s Dan Crowley outdueled Oneonta’s Jordan Goble, in a strong pitching matchup on both sides, for a 4-0 win in a Southern Tier Athletic Conference baseball game Tuesday, May 18.

Goble allowed five hits while striking out five as the Yellowjackets kept the Saints scoreless until the sixth inning.

In the bottom of the sixth, with one out, the Saints rallied for three runs. The key hit in the inning was a bases loaded single by Joey Burke.

Seton righthander Crowley did not walk a batter and allowed only three hits, while striking out seven batters in six innings.

Crowley also led the Saints at the plate with three hits.

Oneonta will host Elmira at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 19.
