NEW YORK CITY – Governor Cuomo today announced that at the request of the CDC, the state is taking the lead in developing ways to identify and respond to a Kawasaki-disease-like syndrome that so far has killed three New York children.
The State Department of Health is also partnering with the New York Genome Center and Rockefeller University to conduct a genome and RNA sequencing study to better understand COVID-related illnesses in children and the possible genetic basis of this syndrome.
