Prepare Chamber For 100th

chamber -- into the streets

COOPERSTOWN – SUNY Oneonta’s “Into the Streets” program was in evidence all around Cooperstown (as well as Oneonta) today, particularly at the Chamber of Commerce on Chestnut Street, where students were ripping up the rugs and clearing out the first floor in anticipation of 100th anniversary renovations.  From front to back are Andrew Jensen, Sandy Hook, Conn.; Amanda Barcia, Somers; Connor Day, Bellmore, L.I., and Shane Irwin, Westbury, L.I.  The students are members of Beta Gamma Sigma, the business honor society.  The next step comes in the next few days, when Dave Bertram refinishes the floors.   Chamber Executive Associate Hannah Bergene said bids are out to complete the renovations by Memorial Day Weekend.  (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)
