As Clark Gym’s 125th Passes, Drawing Of Addition Released COOPERSTOWN – On Feb. 10, 1891, the first Alfred Corning Clark Gymnasium opened in Cooperstown, 125 years ago as of yesterday. As the Clark Sports Center, it opened in new quarters on Susquehanna Avenue in 1986 and, as the anniversary passes, a major addition is under construction, with completion scheduled for this fall. Mark Rathbun Wins Fetterman Award COOPERSTOWN – Mark Rathbun, retired teacher and former president of the Cooperstown Central School Board, will received this year’s Fetterman Award for service to youth, it was announced today.
