ONEONTA MAN REPORTED MISSING COOPERSTOWN – A “vulnerable adult” was reported missing after he was last seen leaving Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown in January. Chester S. Kucharski Jr, 67, Oneonta, was last seen leaving Bassett around 3:50 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25. Smith, 96, a World War II veteran who spent his career in Bassett Hospital’s business office, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, at Promenade Assisted Living in Chestnut Ridge, Rockland County.
