IN MEMORIAM Bernard Suskind, 97; Holocaust Survivor Leaves Family Here Holocaust survivor Bernard Suskind, 97, of Atlantic Beach, Long Island, died on Nov. 26, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre. Among his survivors he leaves a daughter, Linda Suskind Kosmer, in Fly Creek. He is predeceased by his wife, Charlotte. Born in Fuerstenau, Germany, Bernard was arrested on Kristallnacht, Nov. 9-10, 1938, and sent to Buchenwald concentration camp along with his father. They were fortunate to be freed after…

McMurdy, 91; Agway Information-Technology Pioneer COOPERSTOWN – Lloyd Charles McMurdy, retired Agway Petroleum information technology manager, passed away Nov. 27, 2018, from metastatic multiple myeloma following a couple years at Cooperstown Center for Rehabilitation &  Nursing. 103 Without Power County-Wide COOPERSTOWN – 63 households in Pittsfield and 103 across the county are without power following last night’s snowstorm, according to NYSEG. Six inches of snow fell in the Richfield Springs area, with temperatures currently around 32 degrees. In Jordanville, all 38 NYSEG customers are without power. As Storm Warning Issued, Milford Is First To React The Village of Milford has been the first municipality to act after the National Weather Service issued a Storm Warning for Otsego County from 5 p.m. today through 7 p.m. Wednesday.
