Village Trustees Throw Out 26 Uncleared-Sidewalk Fines COOPERSTOWN – After receiving five letters of complaints from homeowners fined $108 each in January because they failed to clear an inch of snow from their sidewalks, the Village Board this evening “cancelled” their fines. The trustees also “gave amnesty” to the other 21 homeowners fined after that snowfall. It was unclear how many may have paid their fines and whether they would not get the money back.
