IN MEMORIAM: Thomas D. McCarthy, Retired From Career In Agriculture CHERRY VALLEY – Thomas D. McCarthy, who spent his career in the agricultural field, peacefully passed away on Nov. 1, 2018, surrounded by his wife and children. Born to the late William C. and Anna (Ryder) McCarthy, of Cherry Valley, he graduated from Cherry Valley Central School and, in 1957, from SUNY Cobleskill with a degree in Agriculture.
