Beams, 89, the last mayor of the former Village of Schenevus, passed away peacefully Dec. 4, 2015, at Kingsway Manor in Schenectady. In addition to serving as mayor in 1991-94, when the village was dissolved into the Town of Maryland, she was a trustee and village treasurer.
