College Rebuilds Memorial On Hartwick Seminary Site Mason Russ Streath, foreground, lays bricks at the site of the old Hartwick Seminary, where a monument (at right) constructed in the 1970s is being replaced by Mark Daneau’s Blue Maple Masonry, Canajoharie.  The monument is on the original site of the seminary, established in 1797, that moved to Oneonta in 1928 and became today’s Hartwick College.  Daneau, in back, said the reconstruction will be completed in the next week.  Two bronze plaques…

Police: Noise Complaints  Rise 50 Percent In City By JASON BIRKELBACH • Special to www.AllOTSEGO.com ONEONTA – Two months into the colleges’ fall  semester, calls to the police complaining of noisy parties and rowdy neighbors have increased 50 percent from last year, Oneonta Police Lt. Doug Brenner told Oneonta Common Council this evening. The number of complaints filed this fall jumped from 107 in the same period 2015 to 154 this fall.
