Speaking Of Sports CCS Baseball Wins Section Championship COOPERSTOWN – The Hawkeyes avenged an early season loss to Oriskany last night in an extra-inning 2-1 battle that saw both teams bring their best pitching and defense to the game.  The Hawkeyes emerged the winner after Kendall Haney got a one-out single in the eighth inning that scored Jackson Martz. CCS TOPPLES FOE, 5-2 HAWKEYES GAIN FINAL-FOUR SPOT ENDWELL – En route to the state tournament, the CCS Hawkeyes baseball team defeated Elmira’s Thomas Edison High School, 5-2, at Maine-Endwell this afternoon.  The Section III, Class C champs now head to the final four.
