$21 Million Expected For Fox Joint Center

$21 Million Expected For Fox Joint Center  ONEONTA – Word has been received that $21 million in state funding is en route to Fox Hospital to restructure its finances and build a new joint center. The funding is part of $125 million for facilities improvements aimed at reducing expensive emergency-room usage by 25 percent, announced by state Health Commissioner Howard Zucker at a press conference that ended a few moments ago. Fred was born on Jan. 19, 1931, in Cooperstown, the son of August and Mary (Burke) Kurkowski. Construction Starts On 60 Housing Units ONEONTA –  Construction is about to start on $15.9 million Oneonta Heights, which includes 40 senior-citizen housing units and 20 for working families, developer Housing Visions of Syracuse announced a few minutes ago. Otsego Olympian Takes Fourth In Boston Rowing Competition ONEONTA – Andrea Thies, the Oneonta rowing coach and two-time Olympian, finished fourth out of 47 competitors at the World Rowing Machine Competition in Boston on Sunday.  She was accompanied by Abby Rodd.
