Oneonta Police Investigating Robbery at Center Street Home ONEONTA – Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early today at a home on Center Street in Oneonta. Police responded to a distress call at 1:40 a.m. from 73 Center Street.  Though there were no significant injuries to the residents, an investigation determined that a robbery had occurred. Walton Man Charged With Burglary At Vacant House ONEONTA – Oneonta Police arrested a Walton man for allegedly removing items from an abandoned and condemned house. Lawrence E. Oneonta Police Department Presented With Certificate Of State Accreditation ONEONTA – The Oneonta Police Department today was awarded the status of “fully accreditated policy agency” by the state Division of Criminal Justice Services. It was the culmination of a 2 1/2-year process to ensure compliance with 133 specific guidelines in hiring, discipline, promotions, vehicle operations and other areas.
