She was born on July 5, 1924 in Auburn, NY, the daughter of Thomas and Carrie (McCabe) Monahan. Rita was a loving and nurturing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed reading, writing, traveling and volunteered in many capacities throughout her life.
