Anesthesia Researcher Wins 2016 E. Donnall Thomas Prize COOPERSTOWN – Shashank Kotakonda, M.D., internal medicine resident in his third year of training at Bassett Hospital, has won the 2016 E. Donnall Thomas Award for exceptional research. IN MEMORIAM: Anne Bookhout, 68; Founded Ithaca Public Health Agency ONEONTA – Anne Bookhout, an Oneonta native who, with an Ivy League education and a nursing degree from Hartwick College, launched a county-wide public health agency in Tompkins County, died unexpectedly May 28 at her Brooktondale horse farm.  She was 68.
