Tonight, Council Also Aims To Hire

Community Development  Director

oneonta-city-sealONEONTA – The management ranks are filling up at City Hall.

In addition to hiring a new human resources director, Common Council this evening plans to appoint Judy Pangman as director of community development, succeeding Bill Kerbin, who resigned in August to take a town manager manager position in Virginia.

A Cobleskill native, she has been a senior planner with Lamont Engineering.

Common Council had already announced it plans to name Katie Böttger, village clerk in Ames, Montgomery County, to the human services job, succeeding Kathy Wolverton, who resigned a year ago.

In other personnel actions this evening, council will act on a contract with Novak Consulting Group to provide “executive recruitment services” in finding Oneonta’s third city manager.
