It was chilly this morning, but that didn’t keep Desiree Wheeler and the Hillside Commons Bear from standing outside at the annual “Fill The Bus” event this morning at Southside Mall to benefit Toys For Tots. The bus, provided by OPT in conjunction with Hillside Commons, will be back at the mall 9-11 a.m. Sunday. And toys can still be dropped off at many locations around the county before they are collected on Dec. 14. “I didn’t get a lot of toys this year.” said organizer Sharron Wheeler, “I am still about 700 toys short. I hope our county can step up to help the kids this Holiday season.” If you would like more information, or, to drop off toy donations, call 432-7052. (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
