HOBART – A man and a woman were found dead in their Hobart apartment this afternoon, according to Troop C Public Information Officer Aga Dembinska.
Troopers were called to the apartment building at 60185 State Route 10 in Hobart at 3:30 p.m., where they found a man and a woman’s bodies.
The cause of death has not been released; however, Dembinska said the deaths are being treated as “suspicious.”
The troopers are in the process of notifying next of kin.

Logging Accident Kills Unadilla Man UNADILLA – An 80-year-old Unadilla man was killed on his property after a falling tree struck him while he was logging, according to Trooper Aga Dembinska, Troop C public information officer. William P. Marszal was clearing trees on his property on Ben McCumber Road last night with a John Deere 420 bulldozer. High Speed Chase Ends In Collision With Cruiser NEW LISBON – A high-speed chase involving an Oneonta man accused of burglarizing an Edmeston home ended when the suspect collided with an Otsego County Sheriff’s Department cruiser, according to Aga Dembinska, Troop C public relations officer. Jesse M. Souza, 30, Oneonta, was allegedly seen by State Police at Richfield Springs leaving the scene of a burglary on Coutny Route 20 in Edmeston.
