SOUTH NEW BERLIN – Oneonta native Virginia Arlene Weaver, 86, a nurse's aide for many years, passed away peacefully on Nov. 14, 2016, at her home in South New Berlin, surrounded by her family.

Virginia was born on Aug. 5, 1930, in Oneonta, the daughter of Edward John and Amy Ethel Bugbee. She was raised in Oneonta and Laurens, attending Oneonta schools.

On July 23, 1949, she married Donald Earl Weaver, her husband of 67 years.
