Wall Street Investor Criqui
New Springfield Supervisor
SPRINGFIELD CENTER – Galen O. Criqui, a Wall Street investor who played varsity basketball at Princeton, has agreed to succeed Bill Freeland, who has retired as Springfield town supervisor.
The town board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Community Center to appoint the new supervisor, Town Clerk Jeannette Armstong reported today. “He has agreed to serve the town,” she said.
Criqui, wife Nellie and their three children have homes in New Jersey and, for more than a decade, in the Town of Springfield.
He is the son of Don Criqui, the longest-tenured NFL broadcaster – 47 years – and the Voice of Notre Dame, his alma mater, in 2006-17.
