WKTV: 2 Officers Injured
Trying To Rescue Driver

COOPERSTOWN – A village police officer and a deputy sheriff were injured trying to rescue the driver of a car that ran off the end of the Fair Street boat ramp into Otsego Lake last evening, WKTV is reporting at this hour.
In the first official information on the incident, a county 911 received a call at 8:31 p.m. from a woman who said she witnessed the car being driven into the lake “via the boat launch,” 911 Director Rob O’Brien reports.
“We dispatched Fire/EMS and Law Enforcement immediately,” he said. “Cooperstown Police arrived at 2034 and Otsego County Sheriffs arrived at 2037.”
