Hang At Congressional Show
COOPERSTOWN – The opening reception for the Congressional Art Show, whose winners compete on the Congressional District level and may eventually have their works shown in the Capitol in Washington D.C., is underway until 7 p.m. at the Cooperstown Art Association Gallery, 22 Main St. The show is titled “An Artistic Discovery.” Students from 11 county school district are competing, including, at left, Julie Donnelly of Cherry Valley Central, posing in front of her “Lignum Vitae.” Art works in top photo, clockwise from lower left, are “April Flower,” Brooke Stanford, ONC BOCES; “Dark Turns Into Light,” Cailynn Rogers, ONC BOCES; “Japanese Chrysanthemum,” Miranda Stocking, Cherry Valley, and “Untitled,” Courtney Bateman, Cherry Valley.
