IN MEMORIAM:  Chris Goff, 44;

Wife, 4 Young Children Survive

ONEONTA – Christopher Goff, 44, husband of former Destination Oneonta Executive Director Julia Goff, died peacefully in his home in Oneonta on Feb. 9, 2016.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Sam, Emma, Jeb and Sara; his mother, Virginia Louise Norwood and a brother, Ed Goff of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his grandmother, Sally Norwood.

Chris was born on Feb. 22, 1971 in Florence, S.C. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in chemical engineering in 1995.

The family moved to Oneonta when he accepted an engineering job at Covidien in Hobart.

A Sky Lantern memorial service will be at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at Wright National Soccer Campus, State Highway 205, Oneonta. All are welcome to attended and celebrate Chris’ life.

He lived his life with passion, so in lieu of flowers go out and do something awesome.
